Route Browser Help - Unknown Airports

When you first load a logbook file, Route Browser scans all the records and looks for airports that it doesn’t recognize. Unknown airports occur because an airport shown in your logbook is not listed in the US or International airports list. The reasons for this include:

  • The airport identifier has changed
  • The airport has closed
  • You entered an incorrect airport in your logbook
  • You created your identifier for the airport
  • The list of airports provided with Route Browser are out of date.

When your logbook contains unknown airports, a New Airports Wizard is presented to help you create new airport entries. These new entries are place in your “My Airports” list that will later be accessible through the Airports & Placemarks feature of product.
